In addition to lipsticks, lip balms can be worn to add color and hydration. If you’re one who prefers lips that give off a dry look, go with matte lipsticks. If you relish sensual wetness and shine, use a lip gloss.

Neon Fun Fact: We all know that neon colors are brighter version of colors, but what makes neon? Neon is actually a chemical element with the symbol Ne and atomic number 10. Neon is a noble gas that is colorless and odorless with about two-thirds the density of air. Neon gas was discovered in 1898 as one of the three residual rare inert elements remaining in dry air, after nitrogen, oxygen, argon and carbon dioxide were removed. Neon gas produces a bright red emission spectrum and gives a distinct reddish-orange glow when used in low voltage neon glow lamps, high voltage discharge tubes and neon advertising signs.

Lip coloring started to gain popularity in 16th century England. During the time of Queen Elizabeth I, bright red lips and a stark white face became fashionable.
