Neon colors are bright, bold, dynamic, dramatic and downright fun. When neon colors are added to your wardrobe and decorate your stylish self, the results are fashion festivity!
Neon is a chemical element with symbol Ne and atomic number 10. Neon gas is a colorless, odorless, inert monatomic gas under standard conditions, with about 2/3s the density of air. Although neon is a colorless gas, it exhibits an orange-red glow when placed in high voltage.
Due to the electrifying brightness of neon colors, neon based clothing stands out like no other.
Neon Fun Fact: Neon was discovered in 1898 (along with krypton and xenon) as one of the three residual rare inert elements remaining in dry air, after nitrogen, oxygen, argon and carbon dioxide were removed. Neon was the second of these rare gases to be discovered and was immediately recognized as a new element from its bright red emission spectrum.
The name “neon” is derived from the Greek word ‘veov’ (neos) meaning new. The compounds of neon include iconic molecules, molecules held together by van der Waals forces and clathrates.
Create a neon scream-on when stepping out in the flash and flair that is neon!
Neon Fashion Tip: If you are going out, or attending an event where you want to be noticed, go with neon. On the flip side, if you want to shrivel up in the corner of the room and be left alone, never select neon colors for your gorgeous outfit!
Fashion Warning: You will be oh so stared at if dressed in neon colors that you might create a fashion frenzy. Be prepared!
Neon Fun Fact: Neon is often used in signs and produces an unmistakable bright reddish-orange light. Although tube lights with other colors are often called “neon”, they are different noble gases or varied colors of fluorescent lighting.
Light up the town when you don yourself in neon from head to toe, up and down!
Colors that are often electrified in neon are orange, yellow, green, blue and pink. Those shades do make for the most gorgeous, glorious neon clothing, don’t you think?
Neon Fun Fact: Neon is the second lightest noble gas, after helium. Neon has the narrowest liquid range of any element and has over 40 times the refrigerating capacity of liquid helium and three times that of liquid hydrogen. In most applications, neon is a less expensive refrigerant than helium.
Neon may be a less expensive gas than helium, but when it comes to clothing, neon can’t be passed!
Jumping jack flash…neon is a fabulous gas, gas, gas!
As with all fashion colors and styles, if neon is way too bold and bright for you, then perhaps just a neon handbag or shoe will do!
There is no denying that neon colored clothing and accessories are wild, wacky and wonderful!
Neon Shoe Tip: If you plan on stalking someone or sneaking up on them, make sure you wear dark colored shoes. Neon shoes will light you up like a spot light, even in the pitch black of night. Wear dark shoes to pull your heist off right!
Neon Fun Fact: Neon is abundant on a universal scale. Neon is the fifth most abundant chemical element in the universe by mass, after hydrogen, helium, oxygen and carbon. Neon’s relative rarity on Earth is due to its relative lightness, high vapor pressure at very low temperatures, and chemical inertness, all properties which tend to keep neon from being trapped in the condensing gas and dust clouds that formed the smaller and warmer planets like Earth.
Neon gas may not be overflowing on Earth, but colorful, whimsical, rainbow neon clothing overflows in the fashion world…always a popular garment choice creating a fashion bang!
Neon Fun Fact: Neon and LED lights are popular in casinos, because their bright colorful lights attract customers.
So, gamble a bit with your unique fashion self. Step out in eye popping neon colors and stand out from everybody else!
Neon Fun Fact: Neon was discovered in 1898 by the British chemists Sir William Ramsay and Morris W. Travers in London, England. Neon was discovered when the two chemists chilled a sample of air until it became liquid and captured the gases as they boiled off.
Neon clothing equals festive, flamboyant, fabulous, fine fun!
Make a fashion scene on knock-out neon!
“Wow. The color of your dress is so va va voom bright that it caught my eye.”
“Yes. Bold neon colors trump more muted shades and don’t even need to try.”
“The outlandish orange is so over-the-top lovely it makes me want to scream.”
“Much like spooky carved pumpkins do on a harrowing Halloween?”
“I say neon colored clothing works well every day of the year!”
“Yes. Whether a dress or skirt or pants, or material that is heavy or sheer.”
Neon: Nifty in that the chic, dynamic colored fabrics, to a fashion diva, are always held dear.
