If you had to name a color that conjures up images of fun, romance, femininity, affection and intimacy, the color pink would most likely come to mind. The color pink looks almost like walking on clouds with its soft, dainty, calming effect.

This holds true in fashion. Whether you prefer pink clothing, accessories, lingerie and/or jewelry, the color pink always looks fabulous, don’t you think?

Pink is a pale red color, which takes its name from the flower of the same name. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with love, beauty, charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity and romance!

Ah, the persuasive power of pink!

A combination of red and white, pink contains the need for action of the color red, helping to achieve the potential for success and insight offered by the color white. Pink is the passion and power of red softened with the purity, openness and completeness of white.

When combined together to form pink, red and white mix just right!

Pink Fashion Fun Fact: Pink clothing and accessories look gorgeous in all shades of pink, however, the deeper the color pink, the more passion and energy the color exudes. Pink, when combined with violet or black, is associated with eroticism and seduction.

As all fashion divas know, clothing speaks for itself. One can reveal parts of their personality, likes and desires merely by what apparel they drape themselves in. Clothing and colors talk loudly!

If you feel that walking around dressed in full pink makes you feel like a strawberry or a cherry, why not carry a pretty pink purse? Merely one pink item can add a softness and calming effect to your entire outfit. Not sure if these are words that you can buy? Why not carry a pink handbag now and then and give it a try!

My oh my, I feel powerful, passionate and pretty in pink! Don’t you think?

As long as we’re touching on pink accessories, we have to pay honor to the pretty pink lip! Pink lipstick, and I do mean all shades of pink, deserves a handshake and a wink. Pink lips are always in style…pucker up you kissable thing, you!

Pink Fun Fact: The color pink is named after the flowers called pinks, flowering plants in the genus Dianthus. The name derives from the frilled edge of the flowers – the verb “to pink” dates from the 14th century and means to “decorate with a perforated or punched pattern.”

In the 20th century, pinks became bolder, brighter and more assertive, in part because of the invention of chemical dyes which did not fade. In optics, pink can refer to any of the colors between bluish red (purple) and red, of medium to high brightness and of low to moderate saturation.

Since pink falls between red and magenta, one must say pink is a lovely hue. For a knock-out pair of off the chart high heeled shoes, only pink heels and platforms will do!

Variations of the Color Pink:

  1. Blush: Similar to skin color, this pale pink has sensual and sexual connotations
  2. Rose: This is the pink of universal love and unity. It is mature, feminine and intuitive.
  3. Salmon: This color adds a touch of orange to the pink. It encourages the flirt in all of us.
  4. Orchid: A lavender-pink that relates to the unconventional and the individual doing his or her own thing.
  5. Fuchsia: A blend of deep pink and blue, inspiring confidence, assurance and maturity.
  6. Hot Pink: Hot pink inspires a passionate, playful and sensual love.

Pink is a color associated with females, but males rock pink with class and pizzazz, especially when donned in a pink dress shirt with a black or gray suit! Masculine, with a touch of femininity to boot!

Pink Fashion Tip: In all realms of fashion, combining pink with a darker color such as dark blue, dark green, black or gray adds strength and sophistication to pink!

Pink fashion is just too cool, pleasing and perfect, don’t you think?

“You look most becoming and scrumptious in your clothes of pretty pink.”

“Yes, I give you an A+ for style, a nod, a smile and a flirty wink.”

“Is that your way of telling me that you like what you see?”

“I’m simply admiring the fashion plate standing in front of me.”

“Thank you. Sometimes it’s fun to dress in girly pink for a splendid time on the town.”

“Maybe we can catch a bite to eat or a movie if you’re planning to hang around!”

Pink – sometimes the perfect conversational link!
