Yesterday, I sat peacefully in my car, one of many waiting patiently in a fast food drive through line, and I had my driver’s window rolled down. I placed my order and moved closer to the pick up window to pay for and to collect my food. As I was waiting for the cars in front of me to finish their transactions and drive away, I noticed a bumble bee flying too close to my open window for comfort. I immediately rolled up the window, while at the same time I moved up to the fast food window, as the cars in front of me were finished.
The crazy bee was determined that he wasn’t going anywhere. The bee flew into my closed window, then flew again into my closed window, then flew again into my closed window, and this continued. I couldn’t pick up or pay for my food, as I wasn’t about to roll down my window and let this bee fly into my car and sting me. (I have been stung by bumble bees on two occasions, and it hurts big time)!
Since the fast food employee had no choice but to stand at her closed window and wait for the bee to fly away, and since I had no choice but to wait for this confused bee to get tired of smashing into my car window, I passed the time by staring at the bee. And this is what a fashion guru like myself learned from this experience:
The colors of yellow and black look real pretty together! Yes, this bee was actually cool looking dressed in a body of yellow and black!
Eventually the bee flew away, I rolled my window down, the fast food employee opened her window, and I received my food order. The food is long gone, and so is the bee, but the beautiful colors of the bee are still stuck in my stylish mind!
In the fashion realm, yellow and black, when paired together, look like “all that…and then some!”
I believe that it is the contrasting of the two colors that make yellow and black, when worn together, so striking. The color yellow is the color of gold, of butter, of ripe lemons. And of course, the color of the sun. Black, on the other hand, signifies night, things that are secret and hidden, unknown. When you place the brightness of yellow, along with the mystery and darkness of black, you get a breathtaking contrast!
When yellow and black are worn together, I think it looks best to keep the entire ensemble yellow and black, including the accessories. A splash of white works, but for a stylish, regal, queen bee look, being dressed head to toe in yellow and black looks divine from both the front and the back!
Blending yellow and black is like blending a splash of summer with a wave of winter!
A yellow and black purse and shoes will do quite nicely, thank you!
Fashion is meant to be seen. As you run your eyes over these fashion photographs, it becomes apparent how stunning yellow and black truly is, when the sensational colors are worn together!
Yellow and black puts the buzz and the sting into fashion!
